First Timers

Tell our greeters you’re new so they can help you find the check-in areas for your children.

If possible arrive about 10 minutes early to give you enough time to get your children setup in our check-in system, grab a coffee and find your seat before the service starts.

Check In

Your child is important to us.

On your first visit, we need the following personal information: parent/legal guardian names, children's names and

birthdates, address, phone number and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for each child.

This information is entered into our database to help maintain our secure check-in system.

Child Safety

Your child’s safety is our first priority.

All LW Kjinja volunteers have gone through a special interview process and are trained to ensure your child’s safety.

We use a security tag system for child check-in and pick-up, and a paging system for

parents/guardians in case we need to reach you during the worship experience.

Child Dedication

We are excited that you want the Lord to bless your child. The purpose of Child blessing is for parents to present their child before God and the church and to seek after His grace and wisdom in carrying out their responsibilities. Parents also come praying that their child will one day trust Jesus Christ as Savior. We believe Psalm 127:3, which says “Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.” Child Blessing is a time for us to celebrate and thank God for the gift of your children. It’s also a time for you, as parents, to commit to model what following Jesus looks like and to raise your children to understand that they are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, to believe that the Bible is absolute Truth, and to know the importance of committing to a community of faith through the local church.

Do I need to be a member to get the blessing for my child?

You do not need to be a member of Lebenswasser to get a blessing for your child. We do ask that families call Lebenswasser home, because in attending and volunteering in the church you create a firm structure to receive blessings. As your church family, we are here to partner with you as the body of Christ and support you as a family unit.

Can a single parent participate in a child blessing service?

Yes! Child blessing signifies the commitment of parents, including single parents, to do their best to raise their child to be a follower of Jesus Christ. We encourage single parents to include any important figures in their child’s life to be a part of the blessing service. As a church, Lebenswasser is committed to supporting single parents in providing a Christian foundation for their child’s upbringing.

What should I expect for Child Blessing?

Child Blessing is a time when you bring your child on stage to receive a blessing where the pastor prays a special prayer over the child and parents and the church body supports the parents in raising their child in a home centered on Jesus so the child can grow in their faith.
